Senior Vice President, Asset Management
Husband and father of two boys (men now) 23 and 20 years old. Originally a Texan and have lived in 7 states. I grew up raising small and large animals, that is why I originally wanted to become a veterinarian. Since Chris and I married 25 years ago, we have had two dogs. We currently have a rescue pup named Yuki.
Looking back over my career of 29 years, my favorite and most rewarding work was when I was a team member at a firm developing and managing student housing communities. I seized this opportunity to be there again with a developer in the student housing and multifamily housing arenas. Additionally, my wife and I love adventures. We have traveled a lot and lived in some cool places. So, moving to work and live in NYC continues our adventures!
I had a couple of influential mentors while in undergraduate school that worked in student services departments I either worked in or was dependent on as a student. I learned from them that I, too, could make a career in college student services. That led me to attend graduate school to earn a Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education. No longer wanting to cure sick animals, I was going to be a dean of students someday! Or that was the plan.
Life outside of work is literally most anything to do with being outside. I love to run and cycle long distances. Throwing in my passion for swimming, and you can find me racing in triathlons. Living in CO for 3 years allowed me to hit the ski slopes often, climb 14’ers and fly fish streams.
