Qualifications
Recently completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, or other related field
Strong interest in ground-up development
Ability to manage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule
Available for a minimum of three months
Excellent quantitative, analytical, written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic and highly developed problem solving skills
Ability to think creatively and contribute to meeting project goals
Enjoy working under time constraints and ability to excel under pressure
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to
- Assist with all aspects of development, including: pre-development, entitlements, consultant coordination, third-party design and construction team oversight, leasing and sales;
- Support new development acquisitions, due diligence and project financing;
- Develop, update and manage project schedules and budgets;
- Assist in reviewing legal documentation and contracts for all aspects of development;
- Assist in preparing regular project updates to Investors;
- Work collaboratively with project team members to set, enforce and accomplish project goals;
- Communicate project challenges to team members; research and present solutions;
- Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts with consultants and contractors;
- Assist in reviewing construction plans, RFIs and submittals;
- Assist in managing agency approval and permitting process;
- Convene regular and ad-hoc meetings as required to meet project goals and solve challenges;
- Research and analyze any aspect of real estate development business in order to facilitate project or strategic decision making and present findings to senior management; and
- Maintain and enforce organization and communication across disciplines.
