DMG Investments is recruiting to place a highly organized and results driven Portfolio Operations Coordinator on its Asset Management team. This corporate level position reports to the Sr Vice President of Asset Management. Primary responsibilities are the coordination and implementation of the operational plans and resources for new property startup while providing the same to the stabilized property teams in transition phase. Coordinate the transitions from startup operations to the stabilized property management teams. Additionally, perform in a supporting role to the Asset Management Team Members in their successful use of Entrata, information databases, and reporting.

3-5 + years’ experience as a property manager with a focus on property operations. Experience in student housing and conventional multi-family housing preferred. Management level experience in at least one of these is required.

Earned bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrate the ability to produce operations and financial reporting packages.

Advanced level experience in the use of MS Excel and Google Sheets in building tracking and financial reports required.

Experience in vendor service and product bid procurement required.

Computer skills, including but not limited to email, internet, Google Apps for Business, spreadsheet, and database (QuickBase) and property management software (Entrata). Please note that a strong knowledge of, and through experience with, Entrata is preferred.

Ability to define and solve problems, collect, and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Understands and complies with all Fair Housing Laws and standards.

Position is based in the New York, NY tri-state area.

This is a travel heavy position; thus, you must be willing to travel up to 80%.


Include but are not limited to
  • Develop and monitor the new development properties startup road map.
  • Secure and disposition of temporary leasing office space, required services, and equipment.
  • Key player in asset management’s role in new market analysis, due diligence activities, and operation/facility audits related to new development, acquisitions, and disposition of properties.
  • Coordination and oversight of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly property operations and facility reporting.
  • Take Charge of the procurement of service vendor and FF&E bids.
  • Provide on-site, in person, support to team members in a leadership role as needed.
  • Assist with property budget and forecasting.
